Transitions Project

funded by the National Science Foundation

The Transitions Project addresses the need for PreK-12 teachers of mathematics to learn how to use a variety of technologies effectively as well as to develop a thorough understanding of mathematical concepts. Focusing on a single mathematics concept, each transitions module leads the students through a series of investigations using a number of different technologies. These activities develop a mathematical concept by having students explore it by using different technologies and then comparing and contrasting them.

You will find modules intended for preservice mathematics teachers on this web site, downloadable in Microsoft Word or in html. Please send feedback on these modules to the webmaster.

This collaboration between Kennesaw State University's Bagwell College of Education and the Department of Mathematics in the College of Science and Mathematics is sponsored by the National Science Foundation (#9951413) and Georgia's Board of Regents.
